Sound the trumpet, Bang the drum, We’re not moving, Let them come!

AMICI celebrated their 35th Anniversary on the main stage of the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre with a new full company show.

The residents of 35 Amici Drive, on the Candy Estate, are under threat of eviction from their homes due to a, so called, “regeneration” project engineered by the bureaucratic and seemingly uncaring Streathlee Green Borough Council, their local MP and property developers Eastlawn Incorporated.

Will they overcome in their struggle to stay or will they face the wrecking ball?

"This is an ambitious spectacle. There are rarely fewer than 40 people on stage, and dances and production numbers are delivered with terrific brio, if not always precision. But it works. What some might see as disabilities, Stange sees as traits to be harnessed and used. He’s a showman, wholly unsentimental, with an exceptional gift for drawing truthful performances from his cast. He’s also one of British theatre’s great unsung heroes. Few artists make a real difference. Stange has." Luke Jennings - The Observer
